| Outreach Program Leadership Demo |

On May 5,2008 the Pontiac Lake Recreation Area hosted a group of people from the Outreach Program to tour the total facility and identify
potential use for youth in their programs. A team of people from PMAC displayed 13 airplanes and 2 helicopters. After completing
a history and overview of our Club and our community activities (TAG & Scouts) several Club members performed flight demonstrations.
In attendance were several DNR top level management from the home office in Lansing, Michigan. We received very positive feed back from
everyone in attendance for not only the facility, but for our community work. They were not aware of the ability to use a computer flight
simulator and RC airplane on a buddy box to provide someone with a flying experience without having their own equipment. Several other Park
Managers in attendance stated they also have flying clubs on their site but are not aware of any such work at this level in the community.
Overall PMAC was received very positively by everyone in attendance.

| Boy Scout Merit Badge Day |

For the second time in 2007, PMAC (Pontiac Miniature Aircraft Club) has completed a
major community service effort. If you remember in June 2007 we hosted the
TAG (Tag of And Grow) event with over 100 people from the community attending and
almost 90 people flying a miniature airplane with the help of a PMAC instructor.
On September 29, 2007 PMAC invited Boy Scouts from the Clinton Valley Council to
attend an Aviation Merit Badge day at our field. A total of 24 different Boy
Scout Troops attended. The 5 major requirements were completed and a Merit Badge awarded to each of the
75 Boy Scouts attending.
Nearly 50 PMAC club members volunteered to help the Scouts complete work in the
following areas:
- Defining the aircraft and how each area works.
- Using a computer flight simulator, learn how to control the airplane.
- Draw a instrument panel and identify the instruments.
- Fly a model airplane with the help of the PMAC flight instructor.
- Build and fly a FPG-9 airplane.
- Attend air show conducted by PMAC members.
- Discuss career opportunities with people from the Aviation industry.
Each PMAC member that supported this effort can take pride in what we have
accomplished as a club / team. The giving of your time once again demonstrates
our commitment to our community, youth and the sport of Model Aviation.
Thanks to everyone that helped in many different ways to complete this major
task and the success that comes with it.
